Tin Plating

Tin Plating

Food-safe and solderable protection. Tin plating is well-suited for electronics (it conducts electricity well) and food-processing equipment (it’s non-toxic). Creates a bright, silver appearance.

Tin Plating Process

  • Surface Preparation

Parts are cleaned, pickled, and activated to remove oxides and surface contaminants, ensuring strong adhesion of the tin deposit to the base metal.

  • Tin Electroplating

Parts are immersed in an alkaline or acid tin plating bath and plated using controlled electrical current. This deposits a uniform, bright tin layer that provides excellent solderability and corrosion protection.

  • Inspection and Testing

Finished parts are inspected for coating thickness, solderability, and surface appearance. Parts are tested to confirm they meet food-safety and electronics industry standards.
